Season Info

 

COMMUNICATION / WEB SITE
The majority of our communication during the season is through email, our team web site (including the website calendar), or after practice sessions. We recommend checking your email messages on a daily basis and the website calendar at least weekly for Fusion updates during the soccer season. If you do not have daily access to the internet, please inform one of the coaches so that alternate provisions can be made. Players are expected to inform the Coaches of any schedule conflicts ASAP.


2018 REGISTRATION FEES

Online Registration for the 2018 season is happening now.  Sign up by May 31 and receive an early bird discount!

If you prefer using a paper copy of the form, that option is still available.  Links to both options are below.

PLEASE NOTE:  You will still have to mail in your registration fee or bring it to the meeting on May 24. The mailing address is on the registration form.

**Please note that all player fees are due IN FULL by August 4.  Players will not receive their uniforms (and thus not be able to play in games) until their accounts are paid in full. If you have questions or concerns about this, please talk to a Fusion board member.

We offer an early bird discount if you register & pay a $50 deposit by May 31.

Player Fees for 2018 (if registered by May 31):

Boys Division I Team – $265
Girls Division I Team  –  $265
Boys Division II Team – $215
Girls Division II Team – $215
Jr. High Team (possibly Co-ed)  – $175
*Training Team — $105

 

After May 31:
Boys Division I Team – $290
Girls Division I Team –  $290
Boys Division II Team – $240
Girls Division II Team – $240
Jr. High Team (possibly Co-ed)  –  $200
*Training Team — $105
*The Training Team was a new category in 2014.  Rather than making cuts, we want to offer this Training Team as a way of helping players who are new to soccer have the opportunity to experience the fellowship of the team and participate in practices so they can develop their skills through the season.  It often takes a season or two of soccer to develop the right touch to be effective on the field, so rather than sending them away to develop this on their own, we are giving them the opportunity to develop it with our team.  Participation in this team is a very reasonable $105 for the season!
 

2018 SEASON IMPORTANT DATES

May 24, 2018 – Informational Meeting at the Leo Apostolic Church Fellowship Hall

6:00 p.m. – New or interested players & parents should come at this time.
6:45 p.m. – Meeting for ALL players (new and returning) AND their parents. 

May 31, 2018 – Early Bird Registration Deadline

early June, 2018 – Conditioning emails start.  These will be sent to everyone who is signed up for the 2017 season. (see below for more info)

June 15, 2018 – Sponsorship Forms due (scroll down for more info)

July 23, 2018 – Practices start!
Practices are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 6 pm-8 pm. Practices are held at Kreager Park.

August 4, 2018 – Player fees are due in full by this date. Players will not receive their uniforms until their accounts are paid in full.

August 4, 2018 – Alumni Game & Family Night at Kreager Park

October 12-13, 2018  – State Tournament at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana

October 26-27, 2018 – National Tournament  (location TBA)


CONDITIONING EMAILS
Conditioning emails will start in early June. These will be sent to all players (& parents) who have registered for the upcoming season. **Summer conditioning is mandatory! Players are responsible for doing the summer workouts on their own. The coaches will be closely watching during the first week of practice to see how well conditioned each player is. Be prepared!! Read the emails carefully. Feel free to reply to the conditioning emails with any questions you may have.


PRACTICES
Practices begin Monday, July 23, 2018

Practice will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kreager Park.
 

FUND RAISING/SPONSORSHIPS

Each season we seek sponsors for the Fusion program. The money from sponsors helps us keep player fees as low as possible. Sponsors are featured on the back of the Training Shirts as well as on the public Fusion Facebook page and this webpage.

As an incentive, 10% of each sponsorship you “sell” will go toward your player fees.  Payment & logos must be submitted by June 15, 2018. Details are on the sponsorship form (link found below).
Be sure to put your name on the form so we know who gets credit for the sponsorship.  Sponsorship Form

Please be aware that we are not a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Here are some sponsorship ideas to consider:

  • Employer matching donations
  • Area businesses providing in-kind products or services, or advertising in our game program and on our web site.
  • Corporate team sponsorships


UNIFORMS
All uniforms belong to the Fort Wayne Fusion Soccer Club. Players and parents are responsible for maintaining them in good condition while in use and returning them at the end of the season. Equipment forms will be completed by each player when uniforms are distributed. Players will not receive their uniforms until their accounts are paid in full.


ATTENDANCE POLICY
Players are expected to participate in all scheduled practices and games unless prior permission is granted for legitimate absences.
